Contribute a text or feedback

This library grows by gift. You can send a text, suggest a correction to a passage you are reading, or simply share feedback — all from your browser, and every submission is reviewed by hand before anything changes.

Send a text

Upload a scripture or study text (TXT, Markdown, HTML, RTF, DOCX, PDF or EPUB). Every submission is reviewed before it ever appears in the library.

Where it will be filed
No folder chosen yet

Pick a folder in the library tree on the left to choose where the text belongs. You can also leave this to us.

About the text (optional — helps us file it correctly)

We email you a confirmation link (anti-spam) and never share it.

Send feedback

A question, a suggestion, or anything else — write to the maintainer.

We email you a confirmation link (anti-spam) and never share it.

What we accept

  • Texts in the public domain, or under an open licence (Creative Commons, SIL OFL, or similar).
  • Plain text (.txt), Markdown, HTML, RTF, Word (.docx), PDF or EPUB.
  • Any of the supported languages (currently 24 are loaded; we are glad to add more).
  • Clearly attributed: name the translator, the year, and the source if you know them.

Send a text

Open the Send a text card below and choose your file. To say where it belongs, pick a folder in the library tree on the left — the chosen location is shown on the form — or simply leave it to us. The short metadata fields (title, tradition, language, author, translator, source, licence) help us file the text correctly, but you may leave them blank.

If you are signed in, your submission goes straight to the maintainer. If not, we first email you a one-time confirmation link (this keeps out spam bots); your address is used only to confirm and is never published.

Suggest a correction

While reading, double-click a word or select a passage. A small bar appears with two choices:

  • Report a correction — sends the marked text together with your proposed fix to the maintainer for review.
  • Note — a private note saved to your account; only you can ever see it.

A correction never changes the text directly — it is reviewed first.

Send feedback

A question, a suggestion, a wish, or a problem to report — open the Send feedback card below and write to the maintainer.

How we review · your privacy

  • Nothing is automatic. Every submission reaches the maintainer, who accepts, adjusts, or declines it. Texts are checked and filed before they appear in the library.
  • Spam protection. Anonymous submissions need a one-time email confirmation, submissions are rate-limited, and hidden checks block automated bots. Signed-in users skip the confirmation step.
  • Your email address. It is used only to confirm your submission and, where needed, to reply to you. It is never published, sold, or shared.

Things we would particularly like to add (some of which are partially covered):

  • Complete Talmud in English (Soncino is partially in)
  • Tao Te Ching in classical Chinese with parallel translation
  • Avesta and Pahlavi texts (we have some Zend-Avesta only)
  • More translations of the Qur'an
  • Native-script Hindu texts (Devanagari Sanskrit Upanishads)
