This site indexes religious texts that are in the public domain or distributed under open licenses, contributed by readers and copyright holders. Despite careful curation, the operator assumes no liability for the correctness, completeness, or currency of third-party content. Mandatory legal obligations under §§ 8–10 TMG remain unaffected.

Privacy (Datenschutz)

• No third-party trackers. No Google Fonts, no Google Analytics, no social-share widgets, no advertising networks. Every asset is served from this domain.
• Cookies. Only strictly-necessary, functional cookies: your interface language, your search preferences, and — if you sign in — a login session cookie. No tracking, advertising, or third-party cookies. Because these are exempt under Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive / § 25 (2) TTDSG, no cookie-consent banner is required.
• Local storage (in your browser). Your bookmarks, clippings, deselected texts, reading position, theme and colour scheme are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us unless you sign in and explicitly sync them.
• Account data. If you create an account, we store your e-mail address (hashed password, never plaintext) so you can log in. The e-mail is used only for double-opt-in confirmation, password reset, and self-requested exports. You can delete your account and all data at any time from your account page.
• Server logs. Standard web-server access logs may be kept for up to 14 days for security and debugging. They are not analysed for marketing.
• Your rights (GDPR). Access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability — write to the e-mail above. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
• Search history. Recent search queries are kept briefly in an anonymised file (no IP, no fingerprint) to power the "History" view.

Textquellen — Buddhismus

Die buddhistischen Texte stammen aus dem Projekt Sutta Central bzw. dessen Datenrepositorium bilara-data. Sämtliche Übersetzungen und Editionen sind unter der Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication (CC0 1.0 Universal) gemeinfrei zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Übersetzerinnen und Übersetzer sind im jeweiligen Texteintrag namentlich genannt (u. a. Bhikkhu Sujato, Bhikkhu Brahmali, Bhikkhu Ānandajoti, Sabbamitta).
