God, the Conscious Energy

GOD, the Conscious Energy

by Grover Gonzales

2023

God is the Conscious, Intelligent and Creative Energy. The coming of Bahá’-Alláh (1) brought not only the wonderful laws and principles that will unite the whole world, but also the means to be used to establish it, like the telegraph, TV, iPhones, etc., but, most important, Computer Science. This time was also accompanied by scientists of extraordinary minds, particularly physicists; one of them was Albert Einstein (2), who in his work on Special Relativity (1905) gave this most famous equation: E = mc2 This equation contains all reality, all that existed, exists, and will exist. The Cause, the Instrument, and the Effect. E (Rest Energy) is the capacity for doing work. It can be measured in joules (J) or any other energy units like electron-volts (Ev), BTU, horsepower-hour, calories, etc. One joule is equal to one kilogram-meter squared per second squared, or 1 newton-meter. m (Mass) can be measured in Kilograms-mass (Kg), pounds-mass or any other mass measurements. All measures are better understood using the International System of Units. C (Constant of proportionality) the limit of the speed of energy in meters per second 299,792,458 about 300,000 kilometers per second (Km/s) Because of the precense of E and m, C exists as space and time (meters and seconds, or any other units) The basic premise that E is all that exists, must have God into it. Otherwise, the god that exists in a recondite place, unknowable, abstruse and transcendent, could very well not exist. The god of philosophers, theologians, theosophists, and everybody else, could be better understood in the field of energy, than in an imaginary void. A dialog between science and religion would be more profitable, being God in this field rather than in the world of pure ideas. Some correlation could be found between God and energy, in that the latter is also uncreated and eternal, besides being always in movement. In the Bible, there are miracles that are easily understood as transference of energy to matter and vice versa. Angels turned to men and back to angels, chariots of fire, the meeting of Jesus, Eliah and Moses, the resurrection, the ascension, etc. Also, Muhammad’s Miraj, the Báb’s (3), Husayn’s blood, and Bahá’-Alláh’s Maid of Heaven, and many more. The World of Spirit or the Great Beyond is the World of Energy (E), and the Universe is the matter (m). Space and time are measurable. God is intelligent energy that moves in waves that could have, frequency, amplitude, spin, and phase. The form of energy could be radiant, nuclear, electrical, ionization, mechanical or gravitational; or all of them together. The spiritual world of spiritualists, with ectoplasm, telepathy, and telekinesis, does not exist, it is not measurable. The same goes for Dr. Rhine’s (4) Parapsychology. God as conscious energy could be easily compared to pantheism (all is God) of some Eastern religions, or the Ethics of Spinoza (5) or the ideas of Giordano Bruno (6) that had him burnt at the stake by the Holy Inquisition; however, this is or not pantheism, since God is personal, one and unique; It has a new Name, al-ÁBHÁ, formerly known by other names as YHVH. “Veiled in My immemorial being and in the ancient eternity of My essence, I knew My love for thee; therefore I created thee, have engraved on thee Mine image and revealed to thee My beauty.” (Bahá'u'lláh, Arabic Hidden Words, 3) The Creative Energy, the First Cause, produced the Instrument or Word of God, that turned energy into that matter that is called the Universe. “Know thou, moreover, that the Word of God … is higher and far superior to that which the senses can perceive, for it is sanctified from any property or substance. It transcendeth the limitations of known elements and is exalted above all the essential and recognized substances. It became manifest, it is without any syllable or sound and is none but the Command of God which pervadeth all created things. It hath never been withheld from the world of being. It is God's all-pervasive grace [energy], from which all grace doth emanate...” (Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh, p. 139) The known elements or “recognized substances” were given in the Periodic Table of the chemist Dmitri Mendeleev (7) in 1869. These elements are matter, not energy; but can be turned into energy. In it, this energy gave way to: “the cohesive mineral, the growing vegetable, the sensible animal, the mortal human…, the soul of the Kingdom, the soul of the Dominion, and the Divine soul the Heavenly court.” (‘Abd-al-Bahá’ (8), Planes of the Soul, p.1, Provisional Translation). In man He placed a spark of the Divine, of He, Himself. “With the hands of power I made thee and with the fingers of strength I created thee; and within thee have I placed the essence of My light…” (Bahá'u'lláh, Arabic Hidden Words, 12) This Word has been presented in the Bible thus: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.”—John 1:1, New World Translation. A better translation of “a god”, would be “a Manifestation of God.” An elegant approach to the beginning of the universe, was done by the Big Bang theory. On the ideas of G. Gamow (9) and the description of an expanding universe of E. Hubble (10), the Catholic priest G. Lemaitre (11) calculated that the universe was created 13.8 billion years ago. Since he had the acceleration of the expansion observed by Hubble, he went back in time, contracting the universe to the point of reaching a small solid mass with the highest density and extreme temperature. And God? He could be a metallic god, or a god in a non-existing vacuum. Some flows have been found in this theory, but still is a good approach to cosmogony. What was before? The particles cannot be compressed beyond the Plank’s (12) distance, that is:1.6x10^-35 m.), an extremely small distance; but, in a universe extremely compacted, it has a bearing. It is well known that at this distance the forces of physics do not follow their strict laws. The alternative is: back to energy. God, the Creative and Intelligent Energy, through His Word created from the non- intelligent energy, the universe. The alternative is to change this energy into a compact matter, that contains all potential life and humanity (with a spark of Himself into it) The high esteem that Bahá’-Alláh has for the Classic Greek Philosophers, particularly Socrates (13), have us thinking if they knew about Energy as we know it now. Platon’s (14) forms and geometrical metaphysics might be well considered types of energy. Aristotle (15) contribution to the Abrahamic religions is well known. However, Plato’s Immortality of the soul has poisoned these religions with something completely foreign to all the writers of Bible. Bahá’-Alláh’s immortality of the soul, needs to be seen as a personality kept in the Memory of God, the Greatest Computer. God is not an Entity in some unknown place that does not exist, He is here and now. “This most great, this fathomless and surging Ocean is near, astonishingly near, unto you. Behold it is closer to you than your life-vein.” (Bahá'u'lláh, Gleanings p. 326) Scripture says that God knows, even how many hairs has our head; some plainly do not believe it, or others think that He has more important things to do. With the coming of computers, we can be sure that this is quite possible and that He has everything in His memory, the greatest computer. Everything that we have in the laptop that He gave us when we were born is there; when we died, the laptop is gone, and God decides to resurrect us to matter, that is the earthly paradise or physical resurrection, or to energy that is the spiritual resurrection. It will have what best befits its immortality. “When the soul attaineth the Presence of God, it will assume the form that best befitteth its immortality and is worthy of its celestial habitation” (Bahá'u'lláh, Gleanings, p. 157) In the golden age of this dispensation, Shoghi Effendi (16) considers “that more study will be done to the sharpening and refinement on the human brain.” (Shoghi Effendi, The World Order of Bahá'u'lláh, p. 203) The energy of the laser or other radiation, or the matter of the scalpel, will eliminate sin. The chosen angels, who are the neurons, will be ready to lead us to victory, but we must command them. Annex I

It is not coincidence that the coming of the Divine Prophet is accompanied by scientists of extraordinary insights. It is worthy to note, that the language of God in this case, is couched in energy words. An example is heat, that is energy transferred between systems, that can be measured in Joules, and its rate of heating in Watts (Joules per second) Others are electricity, light, active force, sound, power, vibrations, and so on.

From the Tablet of Wisdom by Bahá’u’lláh “As regards thine assertions about the beginning of creation, this is a matter on which conceptions vary by reason of the divergences in men's thoughts and opinions. Wert thou to assert that it hath ever existed and shall continue to exist, it would be true; or wert thou to affirm the same concept as is mentioned in the sacred Scriptures, no doubt would there be about it, for it hath been revealed by God, the Lord of the worlds. Indeed He was a hidden treasure. This is a station that can never be described nor even alluded to. And in the station of ‘I did wish to make Myself known', God was, and His creation had ever existed beneath His shelter from the beginning that hath no beginning, apart from its being preceded by a Firstness which cannot be regarded as firstness and originated by a Cause inscrutable even unto all men of learning. That which hath been in existence had existed before, but not in the form thou seest today. The world of existence came into being through the heat generated from the interaction between the active force and that which is its recipient. These two are the same, yet they are different. Thus doth the Great Announcement inform thee about this glorious structure. Such as communicate the generating influence and such as receive its impact are indeed created through the irresistible Word of God, which is the Cause of the entire creation, while all else besides His Word are but the creatures and the effects thereof. Verily thy Lord is the Expounder, the All-Wise.” (Bahá'u'lláh, Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh, p. 139. ‘Abd’al-Bahá explains this paragraph of The Tablet of Wisdom, thus: “ ‘The world of existence came into being through the heat generated from the interaction between the active force and that which is its recipient. These two are the same, yet they are different.’ That is to say, the primary matter of contingent beings is the ethereal power, which is invisible and can only be established through its effects, such as electricity, heat, and light, which are vibrations of that power. This is established and proven in natural philosophy, and it is called ethereal matter. This ethereal matter is itself both the force active and the recipient; in other words, in the world of corporeal existents it is the sign of the Primal Will. “God created man by the Will, and He created the Will by means of itself.” Therefore, this ethereal matter is, in a certain respect, the active force, since light, heat, and electricity appear from it. It is also the recipient, for as vibrations take place in it, it becomes visible. For instance, light is a vibration occurring in that ethereal matter. From these vibrations the power of sight is affected, and the result is seeing. Likewise, vibrations take place in the air and from them the eardrum is affected. That effect is sound, and the result is hearing.” (Lawh-i Qúchání, translator, Kevin Brown). God is the Conscious, Intelligent and Creative Energy.
