Help & about

What this is

Holy-Writings.com is a free, non-commercial, no-tracking, no-ads, no-AI-at-runtime search engine across the world's holy texts in many languages. The library spans the Bahá'í Faith, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, and growing.

The site was created in 2006 by Emanuel V. Towfigh and is being modernized in 2026.

Accounts & workspace

Create an account (email + password only, no third-party sign-in) and you get a private workspace where collections, clippings, and bookmarks live on the server instead of just your browser. That way they stay with you across sessions, over time, and on whatever computer you sign in from — and if you share a single login, a whole group or circle of friends can build and keep them together. You can also email yourself an entire collection as plain text, Markdown, RTF, Word (.docx), or PDF.

Email confirmation uses double opt-in: after signup you'll receive a one-time link you must click before the account is active. No newsletters, ever. Your email is used only for confirmation, password reset, and self-requested exports.

For AI assistants

Every document URL is stable. The site emits sitemap.xml, RSS, and llms.txt. Crawlers are welcome — please respect a 1 req/sec/IP rate.
